A humerous article appeared on slashdot today, with the typical Windows bashing that’s to be expected.
But for my own reference, and hopefully the benefit of others:
Windows Vista Home Basic and Home Premium cannot be ran on a virtual machine legally, whether that be Linux, Apple or even Windows 95.

As Microsoft have released the new policy template, ADMX with with Vista – it’s about time I looked into converting our Centaur Systems policy template to the new ADMX format to see how the process goes.
Thanks to the ADMX Editor available from Microsoft, the process is quite straight-forward.
Install and run the ADMX editor

I hear that Microsoft didn’t take one of my BETA bug reports very seriously. Even after updating the drivers through windows update, audio is an issue.
Sound is still stopping on my Analog Devices sound card, with no errors, just an absence of noise.

I recently received my Windows Vista Business Upgrade through the post.
Microsoft seem to have really wanted to restrict the use of clean installations. With an upgrade licence, when you try to install Vista by booting from the DVD or CD, it will tell you that Vista cannot be installed.
